Saturday 1st DECEMBER – Christmas Market

This year we have a huge range of different and interesting traders coming. There will be plenty to see, plenty to buy, plenty to do, and plenty to eat!
Best to walk to it if possible, as it will be busy.

No, this is not acceptable!

All Poundbury property owners are bound by covenants and stipulations as part of the purchasing agreement. This is to protect our close living spaces and keep the development looking smart. It is not permitted to change the external colour of any property without the permission of the Duchy of Cornwall. This of course includes changing a colour theme in a courtyard. A range of legal actions is available to the Duchy, MANCO or other owners. Some unauthorised changes will render your property unsaleable without return to original planned status. ( Please read Stipulation 1 in this website, and in your documentation)

Drone Photography Wednesday 26th September.

The Duchy of Cornwall are currently working with the BBC to facilitate an aerial “drone” shoot (filming) of Poundbury on Wednesday the 26th of September. Photography will mainly concentrate on Queen Mother Square, nevertheless the Duchy wish to inform everyone, and to let you all know where to direct any inquiries on the matter. If there are any questions please contact Camm L.S Manners at the Duchy Offices.

Residents – External Works, Scaffolding & Skips!

Attention! If you are thinking of doing any work to your property involving scaffolding or skip hire, put a note into the “General Tab” on this website stating which property is involved and we will advise who and what permissions are needed. Most scaffold and skip placements will impact on private property and we need to know! Failure to do so could render you liable for any resulting safety and damage issues.”

Fancy helping Manco in your own courtyard?

Our Courtyard watcher scheme is up and running successfully and we are getting valuable reports back giving us a “heads-up” on what’s going on, and any maintenance issues requiring attention.  We have 6 watchers currently, many courtyards to go! If you would like to volunteer we will brief you, give you a pack of information about the courtyard, where things are and where to report them. Some have already met others residents and discussed issues by just checking around occasionally.

It is in all our interests to keep our courtyards clean, functional and attractive as possible. Some residents live in courtyards, which is a security benefit (by design) for all of us in terms of our parked cars and garages. As part of the plan courtyards have specially selected trees and shrubs planted to maintain a reasonably attractive environment rather than just looking like a back-yard. No one wishes to look out on upturned bins, dead shrubs, dumped cars or poor surfaces. Long term deterioration will inevitably affect property values. MANCOs are constantly dealing with these issues through enforcement of stipulations or direct discussions with residents and the Duchy of Cornwall offices.

Just let us know through the Reporting tab in this website, take the general option. We will phone if you wish.

Welcome to all MANCO 2 and MANCO3 residents and shareholders!

You may have noticed that this website has been subtly changing over the last couple of weeks. We now provide access for residents and shareholders in MANCO2 and MANCO3 to refer to documents and rules which apply across Poundbury. You may now also report anything amiss in your courtyard. Just go to the “reporting” tab and select the appropriate MANCO. The Management companies (MANCOs) can only deal with courtyards, but there is help in here for pointing you in the right direction for other services or assistance.
